Bringing the lost to Christ, building up the Church
We pledge to our viewers and supporters to take the Gospel to all the world and to all generations.
The mission of Max Shimba Ministries is to aggressively fulfill the commission that Jesus Christ gave to His followers: to go into the world and make disciples of all people. Our purpose is to bring the lost to Jesus Christ, and to build up and encourage those who already believe.
Max Shimba Ministries is a non-profit, faith-based organisation. Its main objectives include promoting and establishing Christian doctrine study programmes, Christian history and Islamology in each Christian church, so that Christians and Christian organisations are strengthened and enabled to take an active and effective part in the evangelisation mission to Muslims within and outside the country.
The ministry facilitates the capacity building of Christian churches and institutions to research, study and analyse important theological and social questions — the socio-economic, political and cultural environment — so that they can respond meaningfully and effectively to the challenges of bringing the Good News, especially to Muslims. It engages churches and institutions in policy analysis, dialogue, development and advocacy at national level, and promotes the role of Christian women in the evangelisation mission.

Max Shimba Ministries is a non-profit, faith-based organisation working to strengthen the Church for the evangelisation of the nations.
Christian doctrine study programmes
Promote and establish Christian doctrine study programmes, Christian history and Islamology in each Christian church, in order to strengthen and enable Christians and Christian organisations to participate actively and effectively in the evangelisation mission to Muslims within and outside the country.
Capacity building for the churches
Facilitate the capacity building of Christian churches and Christian institutions to undertake research, study and analysis of important theological and social questions, of the socio-economic, political and cultural environment, and of the promotion of inculturation — in order to respond meaningfully to the challenges of bringing the Good News, especially to Muslims.
Discern and promote the mission
Discern and promote the mission of Christian churches and institutions in the spreading of all the Gospel of Christ Jesus to all the world.
Policy, dialogue and advocacy
Engage and facilitate the participation of Christian churches and institutions in policy analysis, dialogue, development and advocacy at the national level.
The role of Christian women
Promote the role of Christian women in the evangelisation mission — strengthening and promoting Christian women’s, young people’s and children’s organisations, their participation in daily dialogue and debate with Muslims, and their struggle for human dignity, justice and peace.
Who teaches here
Dr. Maxwell Shimba
Dr. Maxwell Shimba is a Christian apologist, author and teacher. Through Max Shimba Ministries and Shimba Theological Institute, his work centres on Christian apologetics, the comparative study of the Bible and the Qur’an, and religious freedom.
He teaches and publishes in writing, in the classroom and on video — and his teaching now reaches readers and students across Africa, the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Shimba Theological Institute has been preparing servants of Christ since 2008, with more than 2,400 students from 32 countries studying Bible-centred courses online and in mentor-led classrooms across Africa.
