Joshua 1:9 Behold
I command thee, take courage, and be strong. Fear not, and be not dismayed:
because the Lord thy God is with thee in all things whatsoever thou shalt go
to.
1 Chronicles 28:20 And
David said to Solomon his son: Act like a man, and take courage, and do: fear
not, and be not dismayed: for the Lord my God will be with thee, and will not
leave thee, nor forsake thee, till thou hast finished all the work for the
service of the house of the Lord.
Psalms
18:30-33 As
for my God, his way is undefiled: the words of the Lord are fire-tried: he is
the protector of all that trust in him. For who is God but the Lord? or who is
God but our God? God, who hath girt me with strength; and made my way
blameless. Who hath made my feet like the feet of harts: and who setteth me
upon high places.
23:4 For
though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils,
for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.
27:1-3 The
psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation,
whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be
afraid? Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies
that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen. If armies in
camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle
should rise up against me, in this will I be confident.
27:14 Expect
the Lord, do manfully, and let thy heart take courage, and wait thou for the
Lord.
28:7 The
Lord is my helper and my protector: in him hath my heart confided, and I have
been helped. And my flesh hath flourished again, and with my will I will give
praise to him.
34:4 I
sought the Lord, and he heard me; and he delivered me from all my troubles.
34:6-10 This
poor man cried, and the Lord heard him: and saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord shall encamp round about them that fear him: and shall
deliver them. O taste, and see that the Lord is sweet: blessed is the man that
hopeth in him. Fear the Lord, all ye his saints: for there is no want to them
that fear him. The rich have wanted, and have suffered hunger: but they that
seek the Lord shall not be deprived of any good.
34:18-19 The
Lord is nigh unto them that are of a contrite heart: and he will save the
humble of spirit. Many are the afflictions of the just; but out of them all
will the Lord deliver them.
37:4 Delight
in the Lord, and he will give thee the requests of thy heart.
55:22 Cast
thy care upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall not suffer the just
to waver for ever.
94:19 According
to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my
soul.
118:14 The
Lord is my strength and my praise: and he is become my salvation.
138:3 In
what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me: thou shalt multiply strength
in my soul.
145:18 The
Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him: to all that call upon him in
truth.
Proverbs
3:5-7 Have
confidence in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not upon thy own prudence.
In all thy ways think on him, and he will direct thy steps. Be not wise in thy
own conceit: fear God, and depart from evil:
16:3 Lay
open thy works to the Lord: and thy thoughts shall be directed.
28:1 The
wicked man fleeth, when no man pursueth: but the just, bold as a lion, shall be
without dread.
30:5 Every
word of God is fire tried: he is a buckler to them that hope in him.
Wisdom 6:1-7 Wisdom
is better than strength, and a wise man is better than a strong man. Hear
therefore, ye kings, and understand: learn, ye that are judges of the ends of
the earth. Give ear, you that rule the people, and that please yourselves in
multitudes of nations: For power is given you by the Lord, and strength by the
most High, who will examine your works, and search out your thoughts: Because
being ministers of his kingdom, you have not judged rightly, nor kept the law
of justice, nor walked according to the will of God. Horribly and speedily will
he appear to you: for a most severe judgment shall be for them that bear rule.
For to him that is little, mercy is granted: but the mighty shall be mightily
tormented.
Sirach
5:1-3 Set
not thy heart upon unjust possessions, and say not: I have enough to live on:
for it shall be of no service in the time of vengeance and darkness. Follow not
in thy strength the desires of thy heart: And say not: How mighty am I? and who
shall bring me under for my deeds? for God will surely take revenge.
7:32 With
all thy strength love him that made thee: and forsake not his ministers.
Isaiah
40:28-31 Knowest
thou not, or hast thou not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, who hath
created the ends of the earth: he shall not faint, nor labour, neither is there
any searching out of his wisdom. It is he that giveth strength to the weary,
and increaseth force and might to them that are not. Youths shall faint, and
labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity. But they that hope in the Lord
shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and
not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
41:10-11 Fear
not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God: I have strengthened
thee, and have helped thee, and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.
Behold all that fight against thee shall be confounded and ashamed, they shall
be as nothing, and the men shall perish that strive against thee.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For
I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of
peace, and not of affliction, to give you an end and patience. And you shall
call upon me, and you shall go. and you shall pray to me, and I will hear you.
You shall seek me, and shall find me: when you shall seek me with all your
heart.
Nahum 1:7 The
Lord is good, and giveth strength in the day of trouble: and knoweth them that
hope in him.
Bible
verses from the New Testament:
Matthew
5:38-48 You
have heard that it hath been said: An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.
But I say to you not to resist evil: but if one strike thee on thy right cheek,
turn to him also the other: And if a man will contend with thee in judgment,
and take away thy coat, let go thy cloak also unto him. And whosoever will
force thee one mile, go with him other two. Give to him that asketh of thee,
and from him that would borrow of thee turn not away. You have heard that it
hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thy enemy. But I say to
you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that
persecute and calumniate you: That you may be the children of your Father who
is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth
upon the just and the unjust. For if you love them that love you, what reward
shall you have? do not even the publicans this? And if you salute your brethren
only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this? Be you therefore
perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.
10:29-31 Are
not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and not one of them shall fall on the
ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear not therefore: better are you than many sparrows.
11:28-30 Come
to me all you that labor and are burdened, and I will refresh you. Take up my
yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: And you
shall find rest to your souls. For my yoke is sweet and my burden light.
26:52-54 Then
Jesus saith to him: Put up again thy sword into its place: for all that take
the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot ask my
Father, and he will give me presently more than twelve legions of angels? How
then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that so it must be done?
Luke 12:22-31 And
he said to his disciples: Therefore I say to you: Be not solicitous for your
life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on. The life is
more than the meat: and the body is more than the raiment. Consider the ravens,
for they sow not, neither do they reap, neither have they storehouse nor barn,
and God feedeth them. How much are you more valuable than they? And which of
you by taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If then ye be not able
to do so much as the least thing, why are you solicitous for the rest? Consider
the lilies, how they grow: they labour not, neither do they spin. But I say to
you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these. Now, if
God clothe in this manner the grass that is to-day in the field and to-morrow
is cast into the oven: how much more you, O ye of little faith? And seek not
what you shall eat or what you shall drink: and be not lifted up on high. For
all these things do the nations of the world seek. But your Father knoweth that
you have need of these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his
justice: and all these things shall be added unto you.
John
14:27 Peace
I leave with you: my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give
unto you. Let not your heart be troubled: nor let it be afraid.
15:4-8 Abide
in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide
in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you the
branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for
without me you can do nothing. If any one abide not in me, he shall be cast
forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up, and cast him
into the fire, and he burneth. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you,
you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done unto you. In this is my
Father glorified; that you bring forth very much fruit, and become my
disciples.
16:33 These
things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you
shall have distress. But have confidence. I have overcome the world.
Acts 3:6-8 But
Peter said: Silver and gold I have none; but what I have, I give thee. In the
name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, arise and walk. And taking him by the right
hand, he lifted him up: and forthwith his feet and soles received strength. And
he leaping up, stood and walked and went in with them into the temple, walking
and leaping and praising God.
Romans
8:28 And
we know that to them that love God all things work together unto good: to such
as, according to his purpose, are called to be saints.
8:31 What
shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us?
12:19-21 Revenge
not yourselves, my dearly beloved; but give place unto wrath, for it is
written: Revenge is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. But if the enemy be
hungry, give him to eat; if he thirst, give him to drink. For, doing this, thou
shalt heap coals of fire upon his head. Be not overcome by evil: but overcome
evil by good.
1 Corinthians
10:13 Let
no temptation take hold on you, but such as is human. And God is faithful, who
will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able: but will make
also with temptation issue, that you may be able to bear it.
16:13 Watch
ye: stand fast in the faith: do manfully and be strengthened.
2 Corinthians
7:10 For
the sorrow that is according to God worketh penance, steadfast unto salvation:
but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
12:7-10 And
lest the greatness of the revelations should exalt me, there was given me a
sting of my flesh, an angel of Satan, to buffet me. For which thing, thrice I
besought the Lord that it might depart from me. And he said to me: My grace is
sufficient for thee: for power is made perfect in infirmity. Gladly therefore
will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. For
which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities,
in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I
powerful.
Philippians
4:4 Rejoice
in the Lord always: again, I say, rejoice.
4:6-7 Be
nothing solicitous: but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with
thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. And the peace of God,
which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
4:13 I
can do all things in him who strengtheneth me.
Hebrews 13:5-6 Let
your manners be without covetousness, contented with such things as you have.
For he hath said: I will not leave thee: neither will I forsake thee. So that
we may confidently say: The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man shall
do to me.
James 4:7-8 Be
subject therefore to God. But resist the devil: and he will fly from you. Draw
nigh to God: and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and
purify your hearts, ye double minded.
1 Peter
1:6-7 Wherein
you shalt greatly rejoice, if now you must be for a little time made sorrowful
in divers temptations: That the trial of your faith (much more precious than
gold which is tried by the fire) may be found unto praise and glory and honour
at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
5:6-10 Be
you humbled therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in
the time of visitation: Casting all your care upon him, for he hath care of
you. Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
goeth about seeking whom he may devour. Whom resist ye, strong in faith:
knowing that the same affliction befalls, your brethren who are in the world.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory in Christ
Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you and confirm
you and establish you.

Thank you very much for the wonderful scriptures. I just read them and was reminded of How much God loves us and the eternal life He was us to have. My spirit is lifted up and refreshed. May God continue to bless us through you. Thanks
